White House: Hamas leader’s days in Gaza ‘numbered’

Washington believes that the leader of the Palestinian Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip, Yahya Sinwar, will be eliminated in the coming days. A senior US administration official made a corresponding assumption.
According to him, such a development of events is very likely, since the Hamas leader “has the blood of American citizens on his hands.”
“It is safe to say that Yahya Sinwar’s days as the military leader of Hamas are numbered… No matter how long it takes… Justice will be done,” a senior White House official told reporters.
