Moms want to make going to the clinic easier

Social activists offered to free the hands of young mothers. In polyclinics, with the suggestion of activists of the Russian Public Initiative, wheelchairs for babies may appear.

The authors of the project calculated that every mother should come once a month for a check-up with a newborn. In addition, periodically you need to visit specialist doctors, a dairy kitchen and a healthy child’s office. At the same time, trips to a medical organization most often turn into a serious test of dexterity and physical fitness for a young mother. Leaving the stroller below, the woman is forced to carry the child in her arms, at the same time carry a bag with diapers, take out documents and diapers, holding the child with one hand, and sit in line, holding the child in her arms. ROI experts calculated that, on average, polyclinics have three changing tables per floor, and there are no such tables at all in administrative offices. At the same time, the developers of the initiative complain that young mothers are a particularly vulnerable category of people who are with their baby 24/7 without having a normal sleep. So that going to the clinic with a baby does not turn into an unpleasant quest for them, ROI experts suggest equipping all polyclinics in the country with transparent wheelchairs, like in maternity hospitals. It is proposed to place them on the first floor of the medical institution. Mom will be able to leave the stroller at the entrance to the clinic, put the baby in a gurney and go to the doctors. True, for this you will have to move around the clinic only by elevator.
