Whatsapp messenger tests a new feature that will bring voice chats to the app with up to 32 participants. The feature is currently in beta for Android, and it’s currently unknown when it will be released to the stable version on iOS.
To connect to a voice chat, you need to click on a special icon in the form of a sound wave. Any member of the group can start a conversation or join a voice chat. If the chat is inactive for one hour, then it will automatically end. Group members will receive a silent notification when starting a voice chat instead of a ringtone. Previously on whatsapp appeared transferring chats using a QR code, also a messenger tests the ability to pin messages in chats for a certain time.
