WhatsApp says that to launch the feature, users need to download a special 150 MB speech recognition module that will allow them to convert voice messages into text. It is not yet known when the feature will appear in the stable version of the application.
Voice messages have become quite popular, but they also have their opponents who cannot or do not want to listen to them. Messengers have begun to offer solutions for decrypting such messages: in Telegram, for example, they are available to users of a paid subscription.
