Family studies, African dialects, drawing, labor – all these are proposed to be screwed into the school curriculum, what’s next?

What can super-urgent changes in the school curriculum lead to without a strategy, plan, methodological recommendations developed and tested in action, and even some intelligible and reasonable explanations, why, for example, it is necessary to return a long-forgotten old academic subject such as drawing or introduce completely new – like learning African languages? Neither in the first nor in the second case there is no practical sense and benefit, but all this is no longer important.

As if there were no problems left in our country at all, except for the return of the socially useful work of mopping the floors after school or canceling homework. The latter, as it turned out, was personally asked by the offspring of the Vice-Speaker of the State Duma, Vladislav Davankov. This is how, it turns out, legislative initiatives are sometimes created. At the request of beloved children. And it’s good if we are talking only about homework!

Socially useful work – he, they say, brings together. How many school loves began with the fact that the boy did not appear on duty after school, and the girl hit him with a rag stained with chalk for this.

True, blackboards in schools have long been interactive, and what to do with outsourcing cleaning through tenders? But still romantic. It is a pity that the parental community is against it, writes petitions, because they believe that it is impossible to exploit children without the consent of legal representatives, and where to get the time for this? The curriculum is already bursting at the seams.

But no one cares about the plan. Hurry to catch up to September 1? During the long summer holidays, the old education system, no matter how terrible it may seem, can be destroyed (break not built), but it is unlikely to create something new, viable, adequate to modern realities.

Yes, and not at the call of the heart, as it was in the 20s of the last century, when enthusiastic teachers were generating ideas with might and main, but simply because someone wanted it so much that they lowered the order from above. And the time is such that it is better not to mind.

They are going to reduce the hours for English and other unfriendly languages ​​as much as possible (English is completely dead, as Vyacheslav Volodin said, for nothing that the whole world speaks it) and urgently look for teachers of rare African dialects who understand a couple of thousand people in the world.

Why is this? For what? What is the practical need for all these Swahili, Amharic and Yoruba, which will begin to be taught in a number of Moscow schools from September? Doesn’t matter.

They proposed to increase the hours of national history. In a couple of months, we have already composed new “correct” textbooks. As a trained historian, I can imagine what could come out of this, how objective they are, how historical they are, how they stick to the facts. If at the highest level we confuse the Seven Years’ War with the Northern …

Moreover, as far as I understand, they plan to study Russian history as far as possible from the “unfriendly” world. As if for the last three hundred years we have lived separately from everyone on Mars. Well, maybe only the history of Africa will remain.

Poor kids, poor school curriculum, skewed, twisted, reminiscent of Frankenstein, into which they try to squeeze the immensity. From family studies and NVP lessons to … drawing.

With the latter, obviously, everything has already been decided. Whether the children like it or not, whether they need drawing or not, let them endure it.

During my childhood, for many (including me), drawing was one of the most hated subjects in school. Not everyone has spatial thinking. And, thank God, computer programs have long been created that replace the antediluvian labor of draftsmen. Just like computers once replaced the counting on sticks. Something comes, something goes. That is life.

The basics of drawing, by the way, are still taught on technology. Artistic abilities are developed by drawing. From which no one refused.

Not everyone wants and is ready to become engineers, who were produced in a senseless and huge number by universities in the USSR. So massively that in the 90s, engineers were the first to be out of work.

Children will not run to technical universities because drawing is returned to schools. As much as anyone would like it. Of course, you can force drawing from under the stick.

But why?

When they say, well, what if all the computers in the world one day break down, and only those who have secret sacred knowledge from the legendary textbook on drawing by Botvinnikov-Vinogradov, grade 7-8 of 1977, will move forward? Then, just in case, you need to be able to weave bast shoes. And with the help of a fire starter, kindle a fire. Let’s put it all in the school curriculum. Little whether that awaits us further.

That is why they turn to the past, because they do not see the future at close range.
