What to do in parks in winter?

In the parks under the jurisdiction of the Department of Culture of the City of Moscow, visitors can enjoy a variety of leisure activities. We invite residents of the capital and guests to master classes, excursions, interactive programs, performances and exhibitions.

On Tuesday, January 31, we offer to go to the Izmailovo estate for a tour of the exhibition “What is hidden from the eyes.” The presented exposition will acquaint guests with the fashion of past centuries in the most mysterious area of ​​women’s clothing. Let’s talk about underwear. The project demonstrates the art of craftswomen who created women’s attire and recreates the atmosphere of the female world of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The exhibition, along with clothing, presents magazines, household items and furniture of that period from the collection of the Moscow State United Museum-Reserve and private collections. February 2 is the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Stalingrad. Several thematic events in Moscow parks are timed to coincide with this date.

– In the park “Dubki” on February 2 at 11:00 a memorial and patronage action “Remember and honor” will be held. Gathering of participants – near the monument “Timiryazevites, who laid down their lives for Faith, Fatherland and People.”

– In Babushkinsky Park on February 2 at 13:30 at the Center for Creativity and Leisure, the event “Hour of Historical Memory” will begin.

– A photo exhibition “There is no land for us beyond the Volga!” has been opened in the Kuzminki park, which tells about the contribution of the Russian people to the victory over the enemy.

On Friday, February 3, the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve will reopen the doors of the Grape Greenhouse for the youngest guests. There for them will be the program “The Tale of the Hungry Caterpillar.” The interactive performance will take place in a cozy hall with a soft floor, among fresh flowers. Participants will get to know a felt caterpillar that lives among tropical plants and help it transform into a butterfly. Children will interact with fabulous props made of soft and natural materials, actively participate in the performance and even try to “turn” into a caterpillar and a butterfly themselves. The most diverse program awaits guests of the capital’s parks at the weekend. On Saturday, February 4, the children’s quest “Magic Hours” will begin in Friendship Park. Young nature lovers and their parents can have fun outdoors, solve 12 mind-bending mysteries and assemble the clock face. The quest starts at 13:00 from the monument in honor of the Hungarian-Soviet friendship. Participation is free.

The Young Archaeologist School continues its work in the Mitino landscape park. February 4 there will be paid classes:

On February 4 at 16:00 in the recreation area “Terletskaya oak forest” a sports race will begin for those who wish of any level of training. Participants are allowed to compete if they have an identity document, as well as if they have a medical certificate of admission to the competition (or a certificate of the absence of medical contraindications to the competition). Athletes are encouraged to run 5 or 10 kilometers.

On February 4, Krasnaya Presnya Park will host a master class on the culture of speech. It will be useful not only for those who speak in public, because speech is a useful tool for any daily communication. Participants will be able to improve their oratory and communication skills, master the skills of proper breathing, on which voice and diction depend, free their voice from clamps and eliminate speech shortcomings. Beginning at 16:30 in the multifunctional pavilion (from the side of the Zvenigorodskoye highway, the upper Krasnogvardeisky ponds).

On Sunday, February 5, Severnoye Tushino Park will organize three free creative master classes at once in the Development and Creativity Club.

From February 1 to February 28, visitors to the Bauman Garden will have access to the photo exhibition “Ocean in the City” of the Moskvarium Center for Oceanography and Marine Biology. The outdoor exhibition in the garden will feature photographs of the inhabitants of the Amazon, South Asia, African reservoirs and coral reefs. Visitors will see both large and small inhabitants of the depths, as well as reptiles and aquatic mammals. The Bauman Garden is open daily from 6:00 am to midnight.
