Kudrin Alexey Leonidovich was born on October 12, 1960 in the city of Dobele (Latvia). In 1996, after the defeat of the mayor of St. Petersburg, Anatoly Sobchak, he resigned in the elections. He worked under the leadership of Anatoly Chubais in the presidential administration of the Russian Federation (deputy head of administration and head of the main control department), the Ministry of Finance (deputy minister), RAO UES of Russia (first deputy chairman of the board).
