How AI can impact the labor market

According to World Bank research, AI will transform almost a quarter of the world’s jobs over the next five years. Goldman Sachs experts believe that AI has the potential to replace humans in 18% of work tasks and will affect 300 million jobs worldwide.

According to forecasts by the World Economic Forum, AI will eliminate 83 million jobs in the next five years and create only 69 million. In turn, experts from the International Labor Organization believe that thanks to the introduction of AI, the number of jobs, on the contrary, will increase.

In 2023, the demand to refuse to replace workers with AI became one of the main ones at the US Writers Guild strike, which lasted from May 2 to September 27.

Goldman Sachs experts believe that the use of AI could raise global GDP by 7% in ten years. Experts at the consulting company McKinsey believe that the implementation of AI could bring economic benefits ranging from $2.6 trillion to $4.4 trillion.
