In addition, all these stories with bets did not start yesterday, and law enforcement agencies intervene in the situation only when it gets completely out of control. Former Spartak player Andrei Tikhonov said that he was aware of similar stories when he entered the field:

The only interesting thing is when, finally, law enforcement agencies will stop making threats and move on to concrete actions. But so far the only thing that all football scandals have in common is the complete absence of truly harsh punishments.
