Weightlifters from the Kaluga region brought 8 medals from the Russian championship. Which took place in St. Petersburg. This was announced on Tuesday, February 20, at the regional Ministry of Sports.
“Ulyana Borisova and Kira Chernova, as well as Danila Kurbakov and Yaroslav Goryachev celebrated their victory in pair juggling. Danila Kurbakov and Danila Ivanovsky won silver medals in single juggling. Milena Trofimova won gold in the long cycle and silver in the snatch. Artyom Vasin won the biathlon and climbed to the third step of the podium in the long cycle,” the department writes on its social networks.
Let us add that the Russian kettlebell lifting championship among boys and girls took place a week earlier in St. Petersburg. 712 participants from 47 regions of the country competed for leadership.
The Kaluga region was represented by 12 athletes from the Marshal Olympic Reserve sports school.
