Athletes from the Kaluga region brought silver and bronze from the Russian Sambo Championship. The regional Ministry of Sports reported this on Tuesday, February 20.
They clarified that the medals were won by students from the Olympic reserve sports school “Youth”. Vladimir Dosyak competed in the 98 kg weight category and won a silver medal, and Alexandra Ryabchenko won bronze in the 80 kg weight category.
The department added that along with the medals, Kaluga sambo wrestlers also received tickets to the international championship in Europe.
Let us remind you that the Russian championship among juniors and junior women 18-20 years old took place in the capital of Tatarstan. Over 600 athletes competed for leadership.
