Weekly inflation in Russia accelerated to 0.11%

Inflation in Russia accelerated from 0.06% to 0.11% for the week from 15 to 21 November. Rosstat also reported an increase in consumer prices in the country by 10.86% since the beginning of the year.
According to the statistical service, the consumer price index for the past week amounted to 100.11% (since the beginning of November – 100.18%, since the beginning of the year – 110.86%).
Among the leading products rise in price during the week:
- cucumbers (+11.3%);
- tomatoes (+4.1%);
- beets (+2.5%);
- bananas (+0.9%);
- toothpaste (+0.63%).
Maximum cheaper per week goods:
- buckwheat (-1.32%);
- sugar (-0.95%);
- margarine (-0.59%);
- sunflower oil (-0.39%).
Also in Russia, smartphones and electric vacuum cleaners (-0.07% and -0.04%) and economy class flights (-3.2%) fell in price.
Rosstat last week appreciated annual decline in Russia’s GDP in the third quarter of 4%. The Ministry of Economy earlier predicted a decrease in the main macroeconomic indicator at the level of 4.4%.
