Zenit head coach Sergei Semak commented on the results of the meeting with Ural. In his opinion, the Petersburgers managed to show a good game.
The match of the 21st round of the RPL was held at the Gazprom Arena on April 1. Zenit defeated Yekaterinburg with a score of 2:0. The blue-white-blue managed to get ahead only at the end of the game, both goals were brought to the team by striker Ivan Sergeev.
Semak emphasized that victories are rarely easy, and the match with Ural was no exception. The coach noted that it was a strong opponent for the Petersburgers.
“Nevertheless, today we had a good match in terms of the quality of the game, movement, struggle. Of course, you need to score early, because it doesn’t matter how you play, how many chances you create. If it does not translate into goals scored, it introduces a certain nervousness and the likelihood of an error increases.”– quotes Semak’s press service of the club.
He added that he was generally satisfied with the game. The team, according to the coach, deserved this victory.
Earlier, “MK in St. Petersburg” wrote that the match between “Zenith” and “Ural” gathered in the stands of the “Gazprom Arena” record number of fans this year.
