As local authorities specify, in the region as a whole, the level of reservoirs per day increased from 8 to 30 cm. “In some settlements of the region, a drop in water level is observed – from 3 cm in Buguruslan to 19 cm in Novosergievka. Thus, in Krasnokholm, the level of the Chernaya River fell by 219 cm in one day and amounted to 73 cm,” the press service added.

In Orenburg, Orsk and other settlements in the region, partial evacuation has been announced due to flooding. In Orsk after dam break The Old Town, part of the New Town and some villages included in the settlement were flooded. The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, Alexander Kurenkov, called the situation in Orsk critical. Damage to infrastructure is assessed at 21 billion rubles. From the flood zone in Orenburg evacuated more than 700 people.
