Underage citizens of Russia involved in damage to railway infrastructure facilities were detained.
The Federal Security Service of Russia for the city of Moscow and the Moscow Region, together with the staff of the LU of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia at the station. “Moscow – Kursk” illegal activities of three minor residents of the city of Chekhov, Moscow Region, who damaged transport infrastructure facilities on the railway section of the Kursk direction, were stopped.
As a result of the operational measures taken, it was established that 8th grade students, through the Telegram messenger, came into contact with unknown persons who, for a monetary reward, offered to damage the transport infrastructure of Russian Railways. Having received the appropriate instructions, the students arrived at the designated place and fulfilled the intruders’ instructions by filming their illegal actions on a mobile phone camera in order to confirm the fact of a crime and receive money for it.
Currently, law enforcement agencies are establishing all the circumstances of the incident, the issue of bringing the detained minors to criminal liability is being resolved.
Please note that these illegal acts, depending on the circumstances, are qualified under Art. 205 of the Criminal Code of Russia “Terrorist act” or Art. 281 of the Criminal Code of Russia “Sabotage”, for which criminal liability is provided from ten years to life imprisonment, including for persons who have reached the age of 14.
In view of the foregoing, the FSB of Russia for the city of Moscow and the Moscow Region calls on minors and their parents, as well as other citizens, to be vigilant, not to follow the lead of persons who are used by the special services of Ukraine to commit sabotage at the transport infrastructure of the Russian Federation.
We remind you that only proactive and timely informing the bodies of the Federal Security Service of Russia about the aspirations of attackers to disable transport facilities and road infrastructure will help to avoid negative consequences and criminal liability.
