Microsoft Corporation has published a report on cyberattacks being prepared by Russia against European states allied to Ukraine, reports Politico.
According to the American company, Russia is synchronizing missile strikes on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure with cyberattacks on EU systems, all in order to disrupt military and humanitarian supply chains to Ukraine.
Microsoft claims that Russian hackers are using Wiper, a virus software that helps to permanently delete all information from a hard drive remotely. The corporation also claims that Ukrainian satellite systems, servers of energy companies, as well as websites that provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine are being attacked by hackers.
According to estimates by American cybersecurity experts, more than half of the portals that have been subjected to cybercrime belong to the vital civilian infrastructure.
