And they will check the readiness of the systems daily
A new document prepared by the Russian Emergencies Ministry will improve control over warning systems about dangers arising from military conflicts or natural and man-made emergencies. The other day, the ministry published on the Federal Portal of Draft Regulatory Legal Acts a document that defines the criteria for evaluating such systems and the regularity of their inspections.
In accordance with the document, public warning systems (PSA) are divided into three categories: regional, local and local. The latter are designed to alert management and employees of strategically important enterprises. Local systems should operate in all municipalities, while they should be linked to regional ones.
The document also states that upon receipt of information about a potential danger to human life and health, systems should start alerting in at least 5 minutes. To do this, a round-the-clock duty must be organized for each SLEEP. Technical checks of the readiness of all three types of systems should be carried out at least once a day. In addition, at least twice a year, comprehensive inspections of SOS will be carried out.
