– Vyacheslav Efimovich, admit it, where are you celebrating this time?

– I traditionally celebrate my birthday at the Wood Grouse’s Nest. Firstly, I free my wife from preparing the festive table – everything is already ready. I still have to sing, but here there are all the conditions. I’m solving the issue a little selfishly (smiles). Although I enjoy singing for my audience. This is one of the greatest joys in life. I think seventy percent of them will be people who know where they are going. My birthdays are traditionally celebrated in style. Often musicians come who come as a surprise even to me.

– What do they mostly give to Vyacheslav Malezhik?

– Unfortunately, since the time when I worked in “Jolly Fellows”, they gave me so many flowers that they are not an irritant to my soul: well, they bring and bring. It’s not like a woman likes to receive flowers as a gift. They also give me a lot of handmade crafts and paint pictures. It’s always quite interesting. It’s nice that I, in general, inspire viewers to folk art.

– Did any of these gifts find their place in your home?

– Yes, I have a painting hanging in my apartment and a couple in my dacha.

– Have you ever had expensive gifts in your life?

– Once upon a time, when I was younger and I had friends who worked in the gas and oil industry, gifts appeared that were expressed in some things and money. They offered, for example, to close the gap in purchasing equipment or something else necessary. I really liked the times when I was friends with all sorts of northern generals, and they brought me some huge fish. Then our whole large company gathered to drink vodka and eat stroganina.

– Many of your star colleagues admit that almost each of them had a car donated by fans…

– I was also given a car, but not for my birthday. It was presented during my visit to Dimitrovgrad. Moreover, just as I got the car stupidly, I left it stupidly. On my second drive, another car drove into me. Then, while they were repairing it, the seats were stolen. Then it was stolen, and when it was found, I decided to sell it. And in the end, this car was smashed to pieces somewhere on the territory of Bulgaria, but, thank God, no one was hurt. In general, such gifts are kind of unlucky. Things I earn myself tend to last longer and bring me more joy. Luckily, I was lucky enough to get promoted and make decent money, so I never saved up for anything to buy a car or anything like that. I just lived, and suddenly a sum of money from the earnings appeared, with which I could buy an apartment or a car.

-Are you already in a pre-holiday mood? What thoughts do you have when approaching an important date?

– Surprisingly, my last birthdays always coincide with some kind of incident, so I’m already on the alert. For example, before one of my birthdays, I went to film with Elena Malysheva on the program “Live Healthy.” And while I was going to her to tell her how wonderfully I was fighting my illnesses, I managed to stretch out at the entrance to the 17th entrance of the television center. He came to her with a broken muzzle and a broken finger. As a result, I went on air with abrasions on my face and a finger that had a splint on it. But he played a concert, which was even more successful than usual.

– Since we’ve come to the topic of health, tell us how you feel now?

– I was convinced a long time ago that going on stage cures all my ailments. So the holiday concert will eliminate health problems. I think I will gather all my strength and work through my gatherings with sparkle.

– Don’t you feel the consequences of bypass surgery on your heart?

– Well, if you hadn’t asked, I wouldn’t have remembered.

– And that’s great! Probably, in this case, you have some sports hobbies?

– This month there is no sports yet, because I suffered from pneumonia, and I was asked to rest for a month in terms of visiting the pool and physical activity in general. It was a viral pneumonia, something strange, not like a cold. But, to be honest, I wouldn’t like to talk too much about the pain, I’m doing well.

– I suggest we talk about creativity in this case. What are your plans for the near future?

– I have so many creative plans. I am a versatile guy: I not only compose songs, I also write books. If I haven’t written a song or at least a short story, I feel bad, and I don’t even understand why. I feel bad, and then I realize: “Oh, I didn’t write anything today.” In general, not a day without a line.

I published a book of stories and poems, recorded a couple of music albums. True, they are all on the Internet now, and it doesn’t feel like I released a record. And what I cannot touch with my hands is something incomprehensible and ephemeral for me.

– Is releasing an album a profitable undertaking in general?

– It was never profitable. Well, or I didn’t know how to trade it. I’ve made money from concerts all my life.

– Many of your colleagues are also opening businesses…

– Well, this is probably not about me. I collect honey, pollen and nectar (smiles).

– Will your children and grandchildren be at the birthday party?

– Yes, they will. I have added extra tables, but I am afraid that even these will not be enough, because people often come to me who were not invited. So at the concert, they will probably also solve problems with seating.

– Do you see your children often?

– Once every two weeks we meet with our children and grandchildren to mutual joy. But I can’t say that they constantly come and ask if they need a glass of water.

– I guess that you are able to do this yourself…

– Well, yes, our water supply works decently (laughs).

– Are your grandchildren growing up to be as creative as their grandfather?

– My granddaughter plays the piano decently and at the same time plays excellent football as a girl. They even go to the Tver region for some competitions. I call her: “Where are you?” She: “I play football in midfield.”

– Do you sometimes go out onto the field yourself?

– I used to play decently, but after the stroke, I have minor problems with my leg. In general, I used to compete with men who were 20 years younger than me.

– Does the concept of friendship exist in show business now? Do you often see your colleagues?

– Previously, when everyone had a lot of tours, we met, rather, on vacation, abroad or at Black Sea resorts. Well, now you can’t run into traffic jams in Moscow. For example, with Katya Semenova, who lives in Izmailovo, if we visited each other once a year, it was already a great victory. Because you have to set aside a whole day just to go. Nowadays, everyone mostly communicates online.

– Do you follow the lives of colleagues who left our country? What do you think about this situation?

– Everyone, except Alla Pugacheva, who left the country causes nothing but irritation. Honestly, I feel very sorry for Alla, she is a talented woman, and I don’t really understand why she abandoned the love she had in our country. Because this is the thing that money cannot buy.

-You don’t maintain any relationship with her?

“We haven’t kept in touch with her for a thousand years.” We communicated closely when I worked at Merry Fellows, then we separated. She invited me to work at her song theater, but I told her: “I like you much better as a friend than as a boss.” This ended our relationship.

– How is your wonderful wife Tatyana Alekseevna doing?

– He rules the process, in the family there is a complete matriarchy established forever.

– How do you spend time together?

– That’s how she decides (smiles). I either support it or I don’t. We had a good time in Kislovodsk, we really love this place. Perhaps we’ll find time to go there after the concerts dedicated to March 8th. We will go to a sanatorium to receive treatment, relax, breathe air and work – all together.
