Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic expressed his concerns about a possible escalation of the armed conflict in connection with the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU).
During an interview on Happy TV, he noted: “I am worried about the possible escalation of the conflict. The Ukrainians have just launched a counter-offensive, and it will be much more intense. The Russian response, if they have sufficient strength, will be significant. This will further aggravate situations.”
Vucic added that Ukraine is a friendly state for Serbia, since Kyiv does not recognize the independence of the self-proclaimed Kosovo. He also recalled that Serbia has not imposed sanctions against Russia for more than a year and continues to adhere to this position.
