During the weekly live broadcast, the mayor of the regional capital, Sergei Voropanov, announced the continuation of the project to teach second-graders to swim.

Recall that in the last academic year, a program was launched, according to which second-graders, instead of physical education lessons, could go in for free swimming in the city’s pools. About 1800 students took part in the project. This year, 4875 children are expected to take part in the project.

“Classes will be held in the same way as last academic year, in eight municipal and private swimming pools in different parts of the city, which will be assigned to different educational institutions,” said Vologda Mayor Sergey Voropanov.

The course consists of 15 lessons. Some of the guys will study in the first half of the year, some in the second. Funds were originally included in the city budget, teaching children to swim will be included in the system of education and organization of children’s recreation.
