State Duma speaker Volodin spoke about the laws coming into force in May
Viacheslav Volodin, before the start of the new month, traditionally reminded the Russians on the State Duma telegram channel what new laws would come into force in May.
The first gives the head of state “additional powers to protect the country and citizens” if illegal actions are taken against them or such decisions are made.
The second one “introduces responsibility for assisting in the execution of unlawful decisions of international bodies on criminal prosecution” of the Russian military, volunteers and officials of public authorities.
The third law is to ban the sale of vapes to minors, including those that do not contain nicotine, as well as consumables for them, and to strengthen the responsibility for introducing children to smoking.
“This decision will protect the health of our children,” said the chairman of the parliament.
