Ambassador: Russia will find another building for the school in Warsaw after the “invasion”

Russia will protest after the invasion of the Polish authorities and police on the territory of the school at the Russian Embassy in Warsaw, we are talking about a violation of the Vienna Convention, declared RIA Novosti, Russian Ambassador to Poland Sergey Andreev. The embassy will have to find another building for the school, he added.
On the morning of April 29, representatives of the Warsaw authorities and the police entered the school at the Russian embassy. As RIA Novosti wrote, they were refused the demand to open the gate, after which they decided to break the door. According to the agency, a chain with a lock was hung on the gate of the building so that property could not be taken out of the school. The Polish authorities said that the school staff must leave it before 19:00 Moscow time.
Ambassador Andreev, who also arrived at the school building, declared the illegal nature of the actions of the Polish side and called the incident an invasion of the territory of a diplomatic facility.
“We proceed from the fact that the school at the embassy is part of our diplomatic mission. Our employees and teachers live and work there. So the qualification is unambiguous – illegal actions, violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. Naturally, we will protest,” he said.
The diplomat added that Moscow would find another building for the school, and the diplomatic mission would ensure the normal completion of the academic year by passing exams.
In March last year, Polish courts ruled that two Russian properties in Warsaw that were not used for diplomatic or consular purposes were handed over to the state treasury. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country. It was about the objects located at the address: st. Sobieski, 100, and on the street. Kieletska 45, Warsaw. The courts decided to transfer the buildings to the state treasury. The first address is an abandoned building, and the second is a secondary school at the Russian Embassy in Poland.
