State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that cultural figures should not be expected to act in response to the dismantling of Soviet monuments in Bulgaria, as they “sometimes confuse the doors.”
Speaking at the plenary session, the parliamentarian recalled that last year, unfortunately, the monument to the Soviet army in Bulgaria was dismantled.
“Where are they, cultural figures with these citizenships? Do you want to wake them up now so that their conscience awakens?” Volodin asked questions.
The politician recalled that many of the artists and business representatives sought happiness outside the country.
“And when you talk about cultural figures, alas, they sometimes confuse the doors, going to the wrong parties. And you want actions from them,” the speaker said.
Earlier, deputy Oleg Nilov invited father and son Bedros and Philip Kirkorov to sing at the Alyosha monument in Bulgaria.
