Volodin recommended that deputies go to the “liquors” in the regions

State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin recommended that officials from the relevant ministries, together with deputies, go to check the “nalivika” in the regions during the regional week in order to find out for themselves what problems these establishments are causing to local residents. The speaker’s proposal was reported press service State Duma.

According to Vyacheslav Volodin, it is necessary to completely ban “nalivaya” drinks. “This is not about infringement of business rights. There are gray schemes, counterfeit goods, an attempt to gain income at the expense of people’s health,” he noted. The speaker invited representatives of ministries who oppose the proposed amendments to visit similar institutions in the regions. “In the shadows of offices, sometimes life is seen differently, so you need to go down to the ground and feel the situation and these problems there,” he added.

State Duma deputy Sultan Khamzaev (United Russia) expressed the hope that his fellow deputies will “take an exhaustive approach” to monitoring the work of liqueurs. “And by the time the law is adopted, we will have full monitoring by region: where the problem is pronounced. For further targeted work with regional authorities,” he wrote in his Telegram. The regional week of State Duma deputies begins on November 20.

On November 13, a group of deputies submitted to the State Duma amendments, which allow regional authorities to prohibit the sale of low-alcohol products in catering establishments in apartment buildings. Currently, a separate license is not required to sell such products in such establishments. For example, in the capital, out of 2.2 thousand catering establishments in apartment buildings, only 70 have licenses to sell alcohol.
