State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin published a post on his Telegram channel on Tuesday, in which he invited users to express their opinion on the responsibility of collectors.

“We are considering a bill to toughen punishment for debt collectors,” Volodin wrote.

The speaker of the State Duma explained that “for slander, threats, damage to property, violence” collectors, according to the bill, “will face large fines, forced labor or imprisonment of up to 10 years if the crime is committed by a group of people.”

The politician invited the Russians to answer one of the questions: do they support such a bill, do not support it, or do they “don’t care”.
