How declared Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin, in letters, parents usually indicate that some disciplines cannot be mastered remotely with high quality. In addition, the teacher cannot see what the child is doing, whether he independently completes the task or not.
“Difficulties arise with assessing homework and the overall rating of students. More than 60% of schoolchildren do not take the online format seriously, skipping classes,” Volodin noted.
He added that families do not always have the opportunity to buy a computer and create comfortable conditions for the child. Parents also complained that children do not have enough live communication with the teacher.
Volodin also provided data on the results of the 2022 admission campaign. Representatives of universities reported that the results of the Unified State Examination among applicants have become much worse. Mainly physics and mathematics.
The speaker of the State Duma came to the conclusion that distance education cannot completely replace the classical one. He suggested using remote work in situations where face-to-face employment is not possible. For example, due to severe frosts, with the spread of viral diseases and to ensure security measures.
