Speaker of the State Duma of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin in his Telegram channel recalled that on November 1, two deputies of parliament terminated their powers for failure to fulfill their duties.
He asked his subscribers on the social network whether it is worth firing parliamentarians who skip plenary sessions.
“Do you think it is right to deprive a deputy of his mandate if he does not attend plenary sessions, does not work in a committee/commission and in his constituency?” Volodin asked his subscribers.
Users were given three answer options: “Yes,” “No,” and “Don’t care.” 92% voted for the first answer, 4% each voted for the second and third.
At the time of publication of the news, 32.2 thousand people took part in the survey.
