The bridge across the Moscow River, which is part of the Northern understudy of Kutuzovsky Prospekt (SDKP), will soon shine. It completed the installation of architectural and artistic lighting. There are 583 lamps on the cornice, which form a line of light. And in the central part of the arch, where the height reaches 1.3 thousand meters, spotlights are placed.
“The construction of the bridge across the Moscow River is entering its final stage – it will be the first section of the SDKP, where all work will be completed. The roadbed is already completely ready and covered with a finishing layer of asphalt,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of the capital.
He added that architectural and artistic lighting has already been installed. Now the bridge guys and the inner arc of the arch are illuminated by dynamic spotlights. The equipment is in special trays. The light is directed downwards, and the lamps themselves are equipped with protective visors to protect the eyes of motorists.
According to Denis Yanev, director of JSC New Concession Company, two types of illumination are provided for SDKP – static and dynamic. The first is needed to emphasize the architectural features of the overpass and provide illumination. The second is festive.
It should be noted that the project also provides for the illumination of 3 more sections of the SDKP: an overpass across Minskaya Street, an overpass across Rublevskoye Highway and an exit overpass from Kutuzovsky Prospekt.
