Vladislav Ovchinsky: the production of innovative medicines will appear in the SEZ “Technopolis Moscow”

A research center and production of biotechnological products will appear on the territory of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ. This follows from the agreement between the Moscow government and the Promomed group of companies, signed as part of the XXVI SPIEF.
A modern research laboratory with a pilot production site for the development of the latest drugs will be created at the Pechatniki site. And in “Alabushevo” there will be a production of Russian biological products.
“The new production will become part of the SEZ pharmaceutical cluster. A plot of 3.2 hectares has been allocated for the construction of the enterprise. It is planned to create more than 400 jobs. Investments in the project will amount to about 4.3 billion rubles,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Investment and Industrial Policy Department.
The project is aimed at ensuring the release of analogues of foreign drugs from the Vital and Essential Drugs List. In addition, the emergence of the center and production will create a technological base for the development and production of innovative Russian original drugs. According to plans, at the first stage, the capacity of the pilot production site will be about 250,000 bottles of drugs annually.
According to the chairman of the board of directors of the company, Petr Bely, it is planned to develop a new line of biotechnological substances at the SEZ sites, since for the country’s medicinal sovereignty it is necessary to develop its own Russian innovative next-in-class and first-inclass drugs.
