A line for the production of copper-aluminum heat exchangers appeared at one of the capital’s factories. Thus, the company increased the degree of dry cooler production localization up to 99%.

Dry coolers are units necessary for cooling process equipment. The process takes place at the expense of the environment, therefore, with minimal energy consumption.

“The main component of drycoolers is copper-aluminum heat exchangers, which were previously imported by New Orbita from Europe. In order to achieve technological sovereignty, it was decided to increase the degree of localization of the production of these units by launching a new production line,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of the capital.

The head of the department added that next year the company will be able to reach a production volume of about 100,000 kilowatts for cold.

According to Vladimir Kosenko, CEO of the company, the new line includes equipment for unwinding, straightening and cutting thin-walled copper tubes, manufacturing aluminum lamellas, reinforcing galvanized steel lamellas, as well as processing copper tubes after heat exchangers are assembled.

Soon the company will have another line for the production of microchannel heat exchangers. They are used as capacitors in refrigeration units.
