The Moscow Research and Production Enterprise is certifying a special fire-resistant cable that can be used at facilities in the petrochemical, nuclear, construction and other industries. In addition to meeting the increased fire safety requirements, the product has the sixth category. This means that it can provide digital data transmission systems of objects with a high speed of information exchange.
“Today, attractive conditions have been created in the capital for factories, allowing them to introduce modern approaches to the organization of production and produce high-tech products of their own design. Thus, NPP Spetskabel has created a fire-resistant cable of a high, sixth category of data transmission,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Investment and Industrial Policy Department.
He clarified that the development is more than 90% created from Russian materials. The company is able to annually produce thousands of kilometers of such cable products. Prior to this, similar products were supplied to the domestic market from Europe.
According to Andrey Lobanov, General Director of the company, the product has a high resistance to electromagnetic interference. Cables can work even in conditions of open fire. At the same time, they retain their characteristics and are suitable for networks with transmission speeds up to 10 gigabits per second. Certification tests of the novelty are now in full swing.
