Doctor and TV presenter Alexander Myasnikov, on the air of the program “About the most important thing” on the TV channel “Russia 1”, told how to protect yourself from the sun’s rays.
According to him, it is necessary to avoid being in the sun from 11 am to 5 pm. He explained this by the fact that visible light is only 40%, while invisible and the corresponding radiation – 60%.
He recommended not using SPF creams only at night, but wearing long sleeves during the day. According to Myasnikov, you should also not smear sunscreen all over your body.
“Sunbathing is always harmful. You say, “But what about vitamin D?” Even in autumn, it is enough to be in the fresh air for half an hour, ”the expert said.
He also pointed out that sunburn increases the risk of cancer, while sunburn provides little protection from ultraviolet radiation. People with a large number of moles are at particular risk, Myasnikov said.
