Moscow engineers can study in the field of “Microelectronics and Photonics” on the basis of the “Moscow Technical School” (MTS). A total of 13 courses have been opened on this topic.
“There are 48 enterprises in the field of microelectronics and photonics in the city, which employ over 10,000 employees. Taking this into account, the creation of a specialized area of study on the ITS platform is a strategic decision,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Investment and Industrial Policy Department.
He added that 13 courses should improve the skills of specialists engaged in development in the field of microelectronics and photonics. In addition, they are aimed at training highly qualified specialists in the development of advanced domestic microprocessor systems and technologies, applied and system software, optical and quantum electronics.
According to RTU MIREA vice-rector Alexander Ragutkin, the development of microelectronics and photonics is very important for Russia. The mechanism proposed by the ITS for advanced training of employees of metropolitan enterprises and implemented on the basis of a unique research infrastructure will make it possible to achieve high-quality results.
Recall that an agreement on the training of specialists in this area on the basis of the ITS was signed last year. Employees of all enterprises of the capital who are interested in improving the personnel potential and qualifications of engineers can undergo training.
