Vladimir Efimov: the development of former industrial zones will give the city more than 55 thousand new jobs

As a result of the reorganization of 14 sites, where former industrial zones were previously located, more than 55,000 new jobs will appear in the capital. Developers and city operators have already begun the comprehensive development of these areas.
“We plan that about 150 abandoned and inefficiently used sections of the capital will be reorganized according to the projects. Today, work is underway on a total area of approximately 188 hectares. Six of these territories are being reorganized by the right holders, five sites are being developed by city operators, investors for the redevelopment of three more have been chosen at auctions. Investments in the implementation of projects are estimated at 444 billion rubles.
As a result, new real estate, enterprises, and infrastructure facilities will appear in the capital,” said Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Moscow Mayor for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations.
The redevelopment will affect the districts of Dmitrovsky, Shchukino, Mozhaysky, Voikovsky, Otradnoye, Zyuzino, Troparevo-Nikulino, Nagorny, Pechatniki, Khoroshevo-Mnevniki, Timiryazevsky, Tekstilshchiki and Teply Stan.
“Compact environmentally friendly production facilities will be located on an area of more than one million square meters. Kindergartens, schools, clinics, sports facilities and other related infrastructure will occupy about 1.2 million square meters. Almost 1.8 million square meters have been earmarked for the construction of modern housing,” said Maksim Gaman, head of the DGI.
