Thirty-degree heat returns to Russian regions. He stated this in an interview with URA.RU meteorologist, head of the prognostic center “METEO” Alexander Shuvalov.
According to him, +35 degrees are expected in Sochi, Krasnodar, Novorossiysk, Stavropol. Heat up to +27-29 degrees will return to Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Tagil, Orenburg and Chelyabinsk. Moreover, in Yekaterinburg, such weather will set a new temperature record.
As Shuvalov explained, on Sunday, September 18, the southern cyclone “jumps through Chisinau, to Kharkov, Bryansk, Kursk, Tula, Moscow,” and also “drives warm air” to the Kuban and Stavropol regions. Therefore, on Sunday it will be +35 in Krasnodar, +32-33 in Stavropol, and +30-32 in Sochi, Tuapse and Novorossiysk.
But already on Monday, thunderstorms will pass in the Kuban, and the heat from there will be driven by a cyclone to the northeast. On this day, it will be +28 in Orenburg, +25 in Chelyabinsk, and +22-24 in Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Tagil and Tyumen.
In Moscow, +13-14 degrees and a “biting west wind” are expected, Shuvalov predicts.
September 20 in Yekaterinburg “warming peaks,” the meteorologist said. There and in Nizhny Tagil the air temperature will warm up to +25-27 degrees, and in Chelyabinsk and Orenburg up to +29. Until Thursday, the temperature will stay above plus 20 degrees.
For Yekaterinburg, this is a new record for the maximum temperature, Shuvalov said. “Such warm weather these days will be observed for the second time in the 21st century,” he explained. And the last time the air warmed up in the capital of the Urals on September 20 was above +25 degrees in 2010, and such weather stood in the city from September 19 to 21.
