Starting next year, the social network VKontakte will change the verification criteria for profiles and communities that want to receive or maintain a blue tick. This is stated in message social network.

Taking into account the updated rules, to receive a blue tick, you will need to publish at least four posts and 10 stories per month, as well as gain and maintain at least 10 thousand subscribers. “Other criteria related to the correct design of the page and compliance with the platform rules also remain in force,” the message clarified.

The required number of entries must be published in December. Users who do not comply with the new requirements and post “low-quality stories” may lose their checkmark. The quality of posts, as stated in the message, will be checked by VKontakte moderators once every three months.

In conversation with TASS representatives of the social network said that the new rules are related to the desire of the audience to see relevant materials from verified authors in verified communities and profiles.

In August, VK shareholders and the board of directors approved the transfer of the company from the British Virgin Islands to Russian jurisdiction – to Oktyabrsky Island in the Kaliningrad region. VK also announced the delisting of its securities from the London Stock Exchange.
