Vilfand urged Muscovites not to rush into switching to winter tires

The scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, gave advice to motorists according to which they should not change summer tires to winter ones before the end of October. Meteorologist’s words leads AGN “Moscow”.
Cold temperatures and wet snow are expected in the capital this coming weekend, but it is too early to talk about changing tires, since, according to forecasts, there will still be periods of rising temperatures. “Changing tires is pointless,” Vilfand is sure. “The wet snow will disappear quickly.”
According to him, the cold weather will continue until the middle of next week. On Monday and Tuesday, minus 2 to plus 3 degrees is forecast at night, and from 2 to 7 degrees during the day, with precipitation. On Wednesday, according to forecasts, partly cloudy skies, intermittent rain and then the temperature will gradually rise.
