Vilfand: the weather will become dangerous in 14 Russian regions

An active cyclone coming from the Balkans on Sunday and Monday will bring heavy snowfall to the regions of the Central Federal District. The scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, Roman Vilfand, warned about this in an interview with TASS.
According to him, on November 26, a sharp deterioration in weather with heavy snow and wind gusts of up to 15-20 m/s will mainly affect the Black Earth Region and the south of the Central Federal District. A complex of adverse weather phenomena is expected in the Voronezh, Belgorod, Kursk, Lipetsk, Oryol, Tambov, Tula and Ryazan regions. On Monday, November 27, bad weather will reach the Moscow, Tver, Smolensk, Kostroma and Yaroslavl regions.
Vilfand also noted that the weather on the same days will be dangerous on the Black Sea coast of the Krasnodar Territory. In particular, showers with thunderstorms and hail, and squalls up to 22-27 m/s are predicted in Sochi. The formation of tornadoes over the sea is not excluded.
