State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein criticized the call of Penza Mayor Alexander Basenko to postpone memorial plaques in honor of SVO soldiers in schools. The politician wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
“I consider the position of the head of Penza unacceptable and incorrect,” Mr. Khinshtein emphasized. He noted that perpetuating the memory of heroes, as well as patriotic education are one of the most important state tasks. He expressed the hope that Mr. Basenko would be corrected by the governor of the Penza region.
