Owners of cars damaged after the explosion on August 9 at the plant in Sergiev Posad cannot receive compensation for car repairs.
As it became known to “MK”, the owners of cars, some of which are not subject to restoration, bombarded local activists with complaints.
– I am the owner of the Land Rover car that was damaged in the explosion. All the necessary documents have been submitted to the city administration, and the damage assessment has been completed. The next steps are not clear. One gets the impression that they want to forget about the victims, and there are more than two hundred of us,” wrote one of the motorists.
The man explained that he was at the workplace across the street from the epicenter of the explosion, and his car was in the parking lot for employees. As a result of the emergency, the car was badly damaged, the owner was not given a copy of the damage assessment report, and he himself estimates the damage at 1.5 to 2 million rubles.
Local blogger Andrei Trofimov said that the issue of restoring cars is a sore subject.
– People don’t know how to get compensation because they don’t have appraisal acts in their hands. According to officials, 234 vehicles have been inspected since August 18. All car owners need to have a certificate from the Investigative Committee that they are recognized as victims in this criminal case. In September, a special commission will consider each application separately and decide on payments. 200 million rubles were allocated for compensation. In addition, compensation will be paid from this fund to entrepreneurs whose property has been damaged.
Recall that the explosion occurred on the territory of the Zagorsk optical-mechanical plant, where the pyrotechnic company rented a warehouse. As a result, one woman received fatal injuries and died in hospital. Over 80 people were injured, 8 people are missing. The blast wave touched 20 private houses and 397 apartments.
