Vladimir Bobkov, vice-speaker of the Crimean parliament, called the Ukrainian law on the administrative-territorial division of Crimea madness.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed this law, the purpose of which is to prepare “the ground for the de-occupation of the peninsula.” It provides for the decommunization of Crimea, new regional divisions, as well as the creation of military and military-civilian administrations.
Bobkov told the RIA Novosti news agency: “We in Crimea are used to Zelensky’s antics and crazy steps.” According to him, it is impossible to look at it differently than “the elements of a lunatic asylum.” For Zelensky, as noted by Bobkov, the Crimean issue is painful and is associated with his unsuccessful attempts to conduct “crawling across the steppes and bumping into mines,” which Kyiv calls a counteroffensive.
According to Bobkov, since Zelensky came to power, a century of administrative-territorial transformations has begun in Ukraine: regions and cities are constantly separated there, territories are changing. Perhaps a temporary pause in this process does not give Zelensky rest.
