Participate in prizes “The Best Industrial Design of Russia” was decided by more than 500 talented designers from 36 regions of the country. They submitted projects in 8 categories for the competition. The Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin announced the establishment of the award earlier. The purpose of the competition is to popularize industrial design and stimulate its development.
“Industrial design helps businesses optimize their manufacturing processes by reducing product development and production costs. A favorable environment is being created in the capital for the development of this area,” said Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Moscow Mayor for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations.
He added that over 500 applications were registered in 3 weeks. At the end of August, the best will be determined in Moscow – they will be able to place a special laureate mark on their products, which will raise the status of the product and demonstrate a positive assessment of experts.
Recall that the designers will put furniture, electrical devices, food packaging, vehicles, household chemicals, shoes and much more to the jury.
Recall that almost 4,000 industrial sites operate in Moscow. In total, they employ more than 720 thousand people. Every year, from 40 to 50 medium and large enterprises, about 100 small ones are opened in the capital. This development of business is connected, among other things, with the fact that there are several dozen measures to support entrepreneurs in the city.
