From May last year to March of the current year, 2,466 mortgages for IT specialists were issued in Moscow for a total of 31.5 billion rubles. Thus, the capital ranks first among the regions of the country in terms of issuing loans under this program. In total, the Mother See accounts for more than 37% of the total volume of loans under the program in Russia.

“IT mortgages remain in demand among Muscovites. The expansion of the age limits of borrowers from 22-44 to 18-50 years and the clarification of the procedure for accreditation of IT companies caused an increase in activity among consumers,” said Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations.

The vice-mayor added that in March, Muscovites issued a record number of IT mortgages – 552 loans for a total amount of about 6.6 billion rubles, which is 85% higher than in February in terms of the number of loans and 78% in terms of their volume.

The number of IT mortgages has grown among all preferential programs. Thus, in June last year, the share of such loans was 9.3%, and by the end of this March it exceeded 11%. These figures confirm the demand for the program among consumers, noted in the Department of Economic Policy and Development of Moscow.

Recall that preferential IT mortgages at 5% per annum can be issued by specialists aged 18 to 50 who work in IT companies accredited by the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation. The maximum loan amount for the capital is 18 million rubles. The IT mortgage program is valid until the end of 2024.
