Nyuta Federmesser, founder of the Vera Hospice Charitable Foundation, said that the foundation began to be denied new contracts and benefits in St. Petersburg. She believes that this happened after her public statement about the death of the wards of the psycho-neurological boarding school (PNI) No. 10.

In conversation with “Fontanka” Nyuta Federmesser said that the foundation was denied the use of premises, the placement of social advertising, and free travel along the Western High-Speed Diameter highway for its medical transport. “One of the officials in a personal conversation said bluntly: “This is for you for the scandal with the PNI,” said Ms. Federmesser.

Ekaterina Taranchenko, Director of the Perspektiva Foundation, said that since recently, the St. Petersburg State Research Institute has refused to let employees and volunteers of the Foundation visit the orphanage’s wards without an official contract.

“We proposed drafts of such agreements to the leadership of the PNI several years ago, but then no one began to discuss them. And now we separately coordinate the terms of contracts with each boarding school. And it turned out that this can be done indefinitely. In the meantime, the contract is not concluded, volunteers are allowed, as they say, with a fight, ”Ms. Taranchenko told Fontanka.

In April, Nyuta Federmesser published a video message in which she stated that seven wards had died in PNI No. 10. She said that “the boarding school is understaffed”, the children are malnourished, they have a protein-energy deficiency. At the same time, she pointed out that the volunteers of the city, who could help, “are practically not allowed into boarding schools.”

Subsequently, the Main Investigative Committee of the ICR for St. Petersburg opened a criminal case on causing death by negligence. The prosecutor’s office organized an Internet check. As Fontanka writes, according to the results of the inspection, no violations of the conditions of detention in the boarding school were revealed. However, the investigation found violations of fire and food safety, as well as a lack of staffing work.
