The Vedomosti newspaper reported that in 2025 Russia plans to cancel international cellular roaming with countries that are members of the Eurasian Economic Union. In particular, with Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
The publication clarified that this information was confirmed by sources in two mobile operators in Russia, which lead to the “Big Four”.
The relevant information was published in an annex to the EEC request, which was sent to all major mobile operators operating on the territory of the union states and the Russian Ministry of Economy.
