VDNH. On March 19, the day of housing and communal services workers was celebrated in Moscow

A week before the holiday, exhibition spaces dedicated to the work of public utilities appeared at many venues in Moscow. Moskovskaya Pravda also took a direct part in these events. At VDNKh in front of the Museum of Housing and Utilities, a historical photo exhibition was launched with notes from the newspaper of different years – 1928, 1937, 1961 and others.

Museum of Urban Economy – for everyone

Pavilion No. 5 at VDNKh. Here is located the husbands of the municipal economy of Moscow – one hundred and forty exhibits, and half of them are interactive. All Muscovites should visit this pavilion, and it is strictly necessary to come with children. And be prepared for the fact that two hours will not be enough for you. Children, and adults too, are ready to play an exciting game of “garbage sorting” for a long time. It is necessary to determine the type of waste: metal, plastic, paper, glass, organic. At the remote control, disputes do not subside, the little one finds out what type of garbage an apple core, a school notebook, a tin can, a frying pan belong to.

And how much delight will cause an interactive wall covered with graffiti! It can be completely cleaned: take a roller with a long handle and “wash off” all the ugly, ugly inscriptions. At the same time, realize that without these inscriptions the city looks much better. Then you press the button, you restore all the graffiti and again take up the roller. A great thing is modern technologies: a real roller affects a computer picture. The result is both interesting and instructive.

The city can also be cleaned in an interactive harvesting simulator.

You can see a huge layout of the city. Binoscopes are placed around it – they show interesting details of the work of city services and communications, hidden from the eyes of ordinary residents.

Older visitors can play an arcade game: help a person get out of the office during a fire. Fire extinguishers, fire hoses, respirators and telephones are placed on the office layout, and tasks and warnings pop up at the bottom. You need to get to the phone, call the security services, and then evacuate. The task is complex and multifaceted: the path is blocked by smoky rooms and open fire zones, which are best not approached because of the high temperature. Not everyone succeeds the first time! There is enough adrenaline, but as a result you understand how important it is that the means of salvation are always at hand.

Flower lovers go to the “Greening” hall and vote for the flowers that will then appear in the city flower beds.

And at parting, you can go to the flower booth and take a colorful photo or video as a keepsake. It will be sent directly to your email.

The Museum of Urban Economy is open from 10 am to 8 pm every day except Monday. The entrance is free.
