Volleyball players from Ivanovo “Textilshchik” had a successful 2023. The team from Ivanovo was able to move to a completely different level and received professional status. In the spring of 2023, Tekstilshchik became the bronze medalist of the First League, taking 3rd place in the final stage, which took place on the floor of the Palace of Team Sports. In the summer, it was decided to give VC “Textilshchik” the status of a professional club. The red-blacks entered the Major League “B”, where they performed well and settled into 3rd place at the end of 2023.
In the first match of 2024, Tekstilshchik volleyball players will play against Obninsk in the opponent’s home arena. The club from Obninsk is higher in the standings than Tekstilshchik, but only scored 2 points more. The central match of the round in the Major League “B” will take place in Obninsk and Tekstilshchik will not be left without support.
The press service of VC “Textilshchik” announced the start of accepting applications for an organized visit of fans who will be able to attend the regular championship match of the Major League “B” between the team from Ivanovo and competitors representing VC “Obninsk”. The meeting of two contenders for high places based on the results of the regular season will take place on January 13. The match itself will take place in Obninsk and will be a guest match for Tekstilshchik.
