In the end, the latter happened to him.
Utkin was hospitalized at about two o’clock in the afternoon from his apartment in Khamovniki. The presenter complained of weakness and irregular heart rhythm. The correct diagnosis was made to the patient while still in the ambulance, but they could not save him.
It now turns out that in October last year, Utkin was given a dangerous diagnosis – atherosclerosis, and was warned that with a weight of more than 200 kilograms, this disease could lead to a serious outcome. That’s when he decided to go on another diet, but its effectiveness turned out to be extremely weak.
“I believe that the sports commentator’s level of bad cholesterol, that is, low-density lipoprotein,” says therapist Inna Surikova. — When they block the lumen in the vessels by more than 70%, we say that the patient begins to live like on a volcano. At any moment, one of the cholesterol plaques can rupture, and a blood clot forms in the vessel. And if you add a sedentary lifestyle and excess weight, the picture becomes very disappointing.
It is worth noting that in 2012, when his weight exceeded 210 kg, Utkin decided to undergo surgery to reduce his stomach. It was made in Germany. The effect was wonderful: the commentator lost 90 kilograms, looked younger and fresher. But seven years later he relapsed again. He said that he couldn’t help himself: he loved to eat and was extremely lazy in everyday life. He loved sports with all his heart, but was not one of those who was ready to do it.
