The champion of the Soviet Union in football as part of Yerevan “Ararat” Nikolai Kazaryan passed away at the age of 76. Armenpress reports this.
“Nikolai Kazaryan died at the age of 76,” the publication said. They clarified that the ex-athlete died in one of the hospitals in Yerevan, where he was taken on December 14 as a result of cardiopulmonary failure.
Ghazaryan was a graduate of the Ararat football club, he played 295 matches and scored 67 goals. In 1973, the athlete became the champion of the USSR and won the Russian Cup twice.
