An athlete from Mytishchi, Yulia Efimova, became the best swimmer of the year. According to the fans, as part of the All-Russian Swimming Federation award, she was awarded the “Aphrodite of the Water Surface” prize. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Physical Education and Sports of the Moscow Region.
The award ceremony for the representative of the Moscow Region Olympic Sports Training Center took place in St. Petersburg. Also, the audience award “Apollo of Water Paths” was awarded to a native of Polyarnye Zori, world champion Pavel Samusenko.
Yulia Efimova holds the record for the number of medals won at the world championships among Russian swimmers. In November, she took part in competitions for the first time after a two-year break, the source reports. At the championship of the Southern Federal District, the athlete won three distances.
